Backgrounds: We aimed to compare the new anthropometric measurements and traditional as body mass index which are used display visceral adipose distribution in patients with hypothyroidism. also investigate Carotid intima media thickness predictors of cardiovascular risk. Methods: include hypothyroidism healthy controls. The were divided into 3 groups overt hypothyroidism, subclinical control groups. Demographic data, measurements, laboratory findings CIMT group evaluated. Results: mean ages 37.46 ± 8.89, 35.03 13.06 38.79 10.46 years respectively (p=0.876). average waist circumference was statistically higher than (p<0.01). averages circumference/height control. There a strong correlation according adiposity index, abdominal volume roundness circumference, hip waist/height ratio (r>0.750 p<0.001 for all values). value carotid significantly Conclusions: found correlations between patient Cardiometabolic risk has increased routine use displaying fat central obesity will be useful early detection treatment complications.
